What is Reader’s Paradise (RP) and how does it work?

Reader’s Paradise is an online book rental club that delivers books to your doorstep. When you're done reading, we will deliver new books to you and collect the old ones from you.

What plans are offered?

Relaxed Reader:

Pay AED 95/month, receive 4 units at a time.
(12 units limit per month)

Subscribe for 6 months and get 1 extra month free.
Subscribe for 1 year and get 3 extra months free.

Light Reader:

Pay AED 150/month, receive 6 units at a time.
(18 units limit per month)

Subscribe for 6 months and get 1 extra month free.
Subscribe for 1 year and get 3 extra months free.

Avid Reader:

Pay AED 200/month, receive 8 units at a time.
(unlimited books per month)

Subscribe for 6 months and get 1 extra month free.
Subscribe for1 year and get 3 extra months free.

What are units?

1 Child book = 1 unit
1 Adult book = 2 units

Light Reader: Can have up to 6 units at a time (up to a maximum of 18 units per month)

For example:

  • 6 children books -OR-
  • 3 adult books -OR-
  • 2 children books and 2 adult books (or similar combination)

Avid Reader: Can have up to 8 units at a time (unlimited in a month)

For example:

  • 8 children books -OR-
  • 4 adult books -OR-
  • 2 children books and 3 adult books (or similar combination)

What is a refundable deposit?

On joining every member must pay AED. 150 for RELAXED READER AND AED 200 for LIGHT & AVID READER "Refundable Deposit".

This will be refunded on cancellation of the membership & once all books have been returned and an account is cleared. Members will receive their refundable deposit in cash with in 2 -3 working days.


If you need to cancel your account, a refund will be made of your account balance and security deposit less any deductions. Deductions may be made for lost or damaged books etc. at the discretion of RP.

How do I search for Books?

There are a couple of ways to do this:

  1. Search by author, ISBN, or book title.
  2. Browse through categories on the right hand side of the page.

Adding books to wish list

When you find a book that you like, click “add to wish list”, it will be added to your wish list queue. If it is available, it can be added to your next order delivery.

What if the book is out of stock/not available?

We apologize if the book is not available, please add it to the wish list and once we have the book, we will notify you via email.

Removing titles from your Wish List

If you wish to remove a title from your wish list, click on My Wish list on top right corner of any page, and you will be directed to your list. Then you can click the "remove" red button.

How long does it take to get my books?

Depening on your location, you will be able to see which are the preferred days and time for delivery in your location.

9 am - 1 pm,

Is delivery and pick up free of cost?


How do returns work?

When you’re finished, you can request for new delivery, and our delivery person will take back the older ones and bring new books for you if ordered.

How can I cancel an order?

We deliver orders to you on the specific date and time that you mentioned in your order. If you decide to cancel an order, select the "cancel order" button in Order List section before the order is process. Once the status shows - "in progress" you will not be able to cancel the order.

What is account balance?

This is the amount you have paid excluding the deposit (AED 200). Every month the account balance will decrease by AED 150 (light readers) or AED 200 (avid readers). Please ensure the balance is topped up before the 'expiry date' to avoid account suspension. You will be sent an email reminder to top up your balance when payment is due.

Payment unsuccessful

If for some reason we are unable to bill you, your account will automatically be placed on hold. When you are placed on hold, we will contact you via email advising you that you need to take action.

What If I want to upgrade/downgrade my plan?

You can easily upgrade/downgrade your plan from your account by going to the 'Subscription' page and clicking on "Change Your Plan" button.

For example, if you upgrade from light reader to avid reader, you will need to pay the difference between the subscription amount and your account balance.

If you downgrade your account, the extra amount in your account balance will go towards future credit. Also, please make sure that you no more than 6 units on hand.

Your new subscription package will be automatically activated from next monthly cycle and the amount related to new plan will be deducted from account balance.

In case you paid an initial package with 6 months or 1 year pre-paid – you will still be able to downgrade package. In this case, from next monthly cycle we will charge the new amount from balance but depending on the plan you downgrade to, you may lose your free month(s).

What kind of books do you have?

Our catalog features the most popular fiction and nonfiction, from hardcover bestsellers new releases to paperback classics. Feel free to browse or search through our list of categories.

If you can’t find the book you’re looking for, there will be an option to send us an email to notify us. We will do our best to add this book to our inventory.

What condition are the books in?

Our staff carefully inspects each book that returns to our warehouse. Reader’s Paradise employs quality assurance standards so that you do not receive books with excessive damage and wear that renders the book unusable in any way.

What is Reader’s Paradise Gift Card?

Reader's Paradise Gift Card is the perfect gift for any reader!

Gift Cards can be purchased through the 'buy gift certificate' link once you are logged in to your account. An email will be sent to you with the code. You can either choose to print the certificate with your Gift Code or forward this email for instant gift-giving.

Your gift recipient can choose to redeem the gift immediately through the email link or by creating his/her own account, if not an existing member. The gift cards are available in 95, 150, 200, 300 or 400 AED value.

Methods of payment.

Members can pay by various methods:
1)Credit/Debit Card - We accept Visa & Mastercard.
2)Send cash to our office against a receipt,
3) Pay by check to our delivery person,
4) Transfer to our nominated bank account. Details available on signup.

We will then manually update your account balance if you choose a method other than a credit card.

What is My Account?

We've made it easy for you to view and update your account and orders any time through "My Account".

“My Account" allows you complete control over your transactions at Reader’s Paradise. You can manage/edit all your personal data like address, phone numbers, email ids ,change your password and track the status of your orders.To sign in to your account, simply enter your email address and password at the login screen.

How do I view my subscription details

Login to your account and then click on 'Subscription' page.

What if I forget my password?

To retrieve your password, click on the "i forgot my password" ink on Login page. Enter your email address and click "submit". The password will be emailed to you.

How can I cancel a Reader’s Paradise account?

You can cancel at any time with no hidden fees. However, there are no refunds for partial months. Once you cancel your account, just return your books and you will get back your refund.

If the books are not returned within the current monthly cycle, we will deduct from your deposit money.

I accidentally damaged a book or lost a book, what should I do now?

If you damage or lose a rented book, please contact us and the amount will be deducted from your deposit. You will be charged a discounted price for the book and it will be cleared from your account.
